Dune Restoration & Resilience

Our Lab has been working with homeowners, stakeholders, municipalities and local area K-12 schools focused on strategies to reduce dune and beach erosion along the Seacoast of NH south to Massachusetts for over a decade. From assessing dune die-off to assisting municipalities with dune profiling, restoration planting and strategic fencing, and land use management plans, our team endeavors to apply nature-based solutions in the face of elevated coastal storm severity. Our current NFWF-funded project seeks to align NH and MA dune and beach management practices to improve the resilience of these fragile coastal habitats.
