Md. Seikh Sadiul Islam Tanvir, known as Sadi, is an ambitious and dedicated professional with a strong academic background and extensive field experience in forestry. He completed both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in forestry from Khulna University. Sadi’s educational journey has been marked by a deep interest in forest ecology, mangrove ecology, and forest restoration, which are also the central themes of his research pursuits. He is currently working on top dying disease of Heritera sp. in the world's largest single tract mangrove forest - Sundarbans.

He has served as a Research Assistant on multiple projects, including the Sustainable Forest and Livelihood (SUFAL) Project under the Bangladesh Forest Department. He has been actively involved in various volunteer and internship programs, including the COMPASS Program with the US Forest Service, where he participated in developing ecosystem services valuation database of Bangladesh. His research has been published in reputable journals, covering topics such as land use land cover change detection, the impact of coal fly ash on mangroves, and soil quality improvement strategies in refugee campsites. He has traveled all the natural forest, wildlife sanctuaries and national parks of Bangladesh. In his free time, he loves travel, cycling and cooking.
