Gabrielle joined the Moore lab in 2023 as an undergraduate lab technician focused on microplastics work. As an undergraduate, Gabrielle aided in the analysis of various sample types including water, salt marsh peat, beach sediment, and seal scat for microplastic presence and abundance. Gabrielle also completed independent research in her Senior year of undergraduate investigating spatial variation of microplastic deposition within salt marsh peat of the Hampton-Seabrook Estuary. Following the completion of her undergraduate degree, Gabrielle is continuing in the Moore lab as a master's student and plans to continue studying microplastics within coastal wetlands. When she isn’t knee deep in microplastics and salt marsh peat, Gabrielle enjoys reading a good book, being outside, and practicing yoga.
