Creightanya hails from the Virgin Islands where she earned a bachelor's in biology at the University of the (US) Virgin Islands and worked at the National Parks Trust of the (British) Virgin Islands. Her work with the National Parks Trust centred around the conservation of endangered endemic plants, but since joining the Moore lab in 2021 her thesis work has been focused on the conservation of an endangered frog species.
