Alexandria (Alex) joined the coastal restoration and resiliency lab after receiving her bachelor’s from Boston University. She is now finalizing her master’s thesis after a successful defense while also starting a new research project as a PhD student. Alex’s doctoral research is supported by the NOAA Margaret A. Davidson Fellowship. Her project involves monitoring mangrove habitats within the Jobos Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, Puerto Rico, through Passive Acoustic Monitoring and traditional field sampling. Alex also continues to build upon her master’s research, monitoring fish and crustacean response to restoration activity in New England salt marshes. On her days off, you can typically find Alex curled up with her cat, Anakin, and enjoying a good book.”
