Prior to joining the UNH Coastal Restoration and Resiliency Lab, my interests included marine invertebrates (primarily sea slugs and urchins), birds, data analysis and teaching. Since joining the lab, my interests have expanded to include saltmarsh ecology and restoration, botany, and hydrology. SCUBA diving has always been a passion of mine and, as of Fall 2023, I now serve as a scuba instructor at UNH. Prior teaching experience included Biostats and the BIOL 412 course at UNH. Aside from vegetation monitoring, elevation surveys, SCUBA diving, data analysis and teaching, I am trained in mist netting, banding, and blood draw from small songbirds, as well as, tagging and tracking sea turtles. I'm well-versed in the R programming language and conversant in Spanish and German. In my previous life, I served as a diplomat in Asia, Europe, South America and Africa for the U.S. Foreign Service and as a stage manager and tech director in the Seattle theatre scene.
