Who We Are

Welcome to the Bigornia Research lab and thank you for visiting our page. Our lab is directed by Dr. Sherman Bigornia, who is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agriculture, Nutrition and Food Systems at the University of New Hampshire. Dr. Bigornia received his graduate degree from Boston University School of Medicine and did postdoctoral training at Boston Medical Center and the Center for Population Health at UMass Lowell.

Our lab uses epidemiological approaches to identify dietary risk factors of age and life-style related health conditions. Further, we use our observational findings to develop programs to support healthy yet culturally appropriate ways of eating.
