Summary of Work: This podcast is an inside look at the process of songwriting. It is less of a how-to and more of a discussion about the process of turning musical ideas into songs. Each episode, I choose a different genre of music and discuss my process of creating the song, from inspiration, to instrumental, to arrangement. By narrowing in on the individual recordings of me playing guitar, bass, and drums, I am looking to show how the music behind a singer is created. I steer clear of any musical vocabulary or theory that the average listener will not understand to keep it entertaining for musicians and nonmusicians. There are many audio examples so the listener experiences the formation of a song from start to finish.
