The GLOBE Carbon Cycle Project
Working with NASA and the NSF GLOBE (Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment) office, our lab has developed a series of K-12 educational activities designed to help teachers bring state-of-the-art science about the global carbon cycle into the classroom. Our activities include hands-on learning, field measurements, systems thinking activities and in-class activities designed to introduce students to the concepts of ecological modeling. Information and materials for teachers and students are available at: http://globecarboncycle.unh.edu/ and from the GLOBE Biosphere Project.
NASA Global Climate Education
We've also developed a series of student activities in partnership with the NASA Innovations in Global Climate Education (NICE) program. The project is titled "Engaging Students in the Science of Climate Change: Using Earth Observing Data in the Classroom." Read more >
