April, 2024 - Graduate Research Conference. Ariana White and Kate Sjostedt presented their Master's theses posters at the UNH GRC. Ariana's Poster: Functional Connectivity during Mindful Meditation: Activation Likelihood Estimate & Meta-Analytic Connectivity Modelling; Kate's Poster: Say Bananas: A Pilot Study on an App-Based Intervention as a Modality of Home Practice.

March, 2024 - Summer Institute of Vocology. We are so excited for our lab member, Chloe McCauley, as she was admitted to the summer vocology program at the University of Utah. She will spend the summer learning about the principles of voice production and intervention.

November, 2023 - APHA Atlanta Conference. Ariana White's poster was accepted to and will be presented at the APHA conference in Atlanta. Poster: Mindfulness and pain regulation: The role of acceptance and commitment therapy for individuals with chronic pain.

April, 2023 - Master's Thesis Defense. Madison Smith, Lauren Keith, and Kelly Marinick successfully defended their master's theses!

December, 2022 - Honors Thesis Completed! Ariana White finished her undergraduate thesis titled Mindfulness and Pain Regulation: The Role of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Individuals with Chronic Pain. https://scholars.unh.edu/honors/695/

November, 2022 - APHA Boston Conference. Ariana White and Grace Roy presented their poster titled: Supporting Persons with Chronic Pain During the COVID-19 Pandemic: An integrative telehealth Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT+RT) intervention. 

September, 2022 - ASHA proposal! Lauren Keith will be presenting at the November 2022 ASHA conference. The purpose of her thesis is to present novel ALEs/MACMs between contexts of language (receptive and expressive) and music (perception and production) to expand functional understandings of the neural mechanisms which underly musical processing as a model of cognition itself. 

September, 2022 - ASHA proposal! Kelly Marinick will be presenting at the November 2022 ASHA conference. The purpose of her thesis is to examine cycles of sustained attention in individuals with TBI.

September, 2022 - ASHA proposal! Madison Smith, Francesca Volante, and Ariana White will be presenting at the November 2022 ASHA conference. Their thesis question: What is the effect of the Treatment for Establishing Motor Program Organization (TEMPO) on perceptual qualities of voice in adults with apraxia of speech?

March, 2022 - Admission offer accepted! Both John Madigan and Laura Ireland have officially accepted admissions offers from UNH! They will begin their Master's in Communication Sciences and Disorders in the fall.

January, 2022 - Accelerated Master's acceptance! Francesca Volante, Emily Tatarczuk, and Ariana White have officially been admitted to the CSD Accelerated Master's Program. They will finish up their Bachelor's in the fall and will begin as full-time graduate students in the spring.

April, 2021 - Admission offer accepted! Elizabeth Henry has officially accepted an admissions offer from Tennessee State University! She will begin her Master's in Speech and Hearing Science in the fall.

March, 2021 - Admission offer accepted! Both Julia Bushell and Maddie Smith have officially accepted admissions offers from UNH! They will begin their Master's in Communication Sciences and Disorders in the fall. We are happy to have Maddie continue her research in our lab.

March, 2021 - Admission offer accepted! Sarah Meier has officially accepted an admissions offer from Vanderbilt's Neuroscience Graduate Program. She will begin her PhD in the fall, with the Graduate School's recognition of a "Russell G. Hamilton Scholar!"

March, 2021 - Abstract accepted! Sarah Meier's abstract titled "Meta-Analytic Connectivity Modelling of Deception-Related Brain Regions" has been accepted for presentation at the Organization for Human Brain Mapping's Virtual 2021 Conference in June.
