Dr. Marah Al-Kire
(she/her)
Lab Director
Dr. Al-Kire is an assistant professor of social psychology at the University of New Hampshire. Her research explores how identity and belief processes influence intergroup attitudes and emotions, and how these, in turn, relate to political policy views. She earned her PhD from Baylor University and completed her postdoctoral training at the University of Washington. In her free time, she enjoys reading fiction, hanging out with dogs, and staying active through running, biking, and hiking.

Rowan Anderson
(she/they)
Rowan is a first-year PhD student at UNH. Her research explores how people's identities and beliefs impact their views of themselves and others, and how these views manifest as prejudice and bias. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of New Hampshire. In their free time, they enjoy reading, spending time with her cat, camping, and debating about obscure philosophical topics.

Avery Hurley
(she/her)
Avery Hurley is a senior psychology major at UNH and is completing her honors thesis in the BASILab. She is particularly interested in the psychology of sexism and the underlying emotions that may contribute to prejudice. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, and listening to podcasts.
Theo Janton
(he/him)
Theo Janton (pronunciation: Tayo) is a senior honors psychology and German major at UNH. He is interested in social psychology, the psychology of prejudice, and clinical psychology. He has a focus on how queer and diverse populations are treated differently and why. He has a dog and did archery for 10 years.
Adi Mayeu
(she/they)
Adi Mayeu is a junior UNH undergraduate student with a psychology major and a business administration minor. They are interested in researching the prejudice behind groups of people as well as how it affects others in the real world. Any time she is home you will find them curled up with her cat, Cricket, under a blanket.
Parmida Nutter
(she/her)
Parmida Nutter is a senior, UNH undergraduate student with a psychology major and a social work minor. She is interested in how religion and biases shape social environments and interactions between individuals. She has nine pets at home, but her cats Clover and Flynn are her favorites.
Jasmine Tsang
(she/her)
Jasmine is a junior majoring in psychology with a minor in business at the University of New Hampshire. She is interested in the Social Psychology field and Industrial-Organizational Psychology! She is from Hooksett, NH and enjoys listening to music, swimming, and baking when she's outside the lab.
