The collection, which developed over many decades as a teaching resource for faculty, is currently undergoing deaccessioning. Slides in good condition and those that include images that are still dificult to find in digital format will be retained.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5 tabindex=\"0\">Lantern slides<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.usnh.edu\/vrc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/99\/2023\/05\/evans_canterbury_12_a.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"186\" height=\"188\" \/>The CatLAB\u00a0maintains a collection of approximately 5000 lantern slides, including a unique collection of 232 original slides by the English photographer\u00a0<a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/frederickevans.omeka.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Frederick H. Evans.<\/a><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5 tabindex=\"0\">Reference books<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.usnh.edu\/vrc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/99\/2023\/05\/books-1204029_1920.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"191\" height=\"127\" \/>The CatLAB\u00a0reference library contains a small but substantial non-circulating collection of art reference books, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dictionaries<\/li>\n<li>Artist&#8217;s monographs and biographies<\/li>\n<li>Text books<\/li>\n<li>Exhibitions catalogue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5 tabindex=\"0\">Study prints<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>The CatLAB maintains a collection of hundreds of prints originally published by the British Museum.
