3D Printing
The CatLAB is equipped with several Creality Ender 3D printers. Students and faculty interested in developing a 3D printing project are encouraged to contact us.
3D Modeling
The CatLAB staff has expertise in the use of various 3D modeling software programs including Tinkerad, Meshmixer, and SketchUp. Stop by the CatLAB or contact the Digital Resources Curator for assistance in the use of 3D modeling software.
Photogrammetry & Laser scanning
The CatLAB is equipped with some of the latest technologies available in the 3D scanning of real-world objects, including photogrammetry and LiDAR. Contact the Digital Resources Curator for more information.
Virtual & Augmented Reality
The CatLAB is equipped with a number of Meta Quest 2 headsets. They are available for use within the CatLAB to interested students, faculty, and staff.
Laser engraving & cutting
Our xTool D1 laser engraver can etch and cut intricate designs and patterns onto various materials such as wood, leather, acrylic, paper, and more.
Drone
The CatLAB owns a DJI Phantom 4 drone. Drone technology has numerous applications, including the ability to document and create 3D models of entire buildings like the UNH Observatory and Hamilton Smith Hall.

Vinyl cutting
With our Graphtec vinyl cutter, you can precisely cut designs and shapes out of vinyl sheets, allowing for the creation of custom stickers, decals, signs, and more.
