The CATLAB INTERNSHIP is awarded to a full-time studio art or art history major who has demonstrated outstanding academic performance. The intern will assist in the CatLAB 15 hours per week (225 hours/semester). The intern commits to working in the CatLAB during the Fall and Spring semesters.
Applicants must demonstrate basic research, computer, and organizational skills. Attention to detail is essential. A willingness and desire to learn new technologies is also important. Preferably, applicants will have Mac experience, as well as basic knowledge of digital photography and image editing, though training will be provided in these areas as part of the internship. Special consideration will be given to those with an interest in the following areas:
- Digital art history
- Digital imaging
- 3D printing
- Social media marketing
- Photography & Videography
- 3D modeling
- Website development
- Digital humanities
- Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies
- Collections management (there will be ample opportunities to work with the UNH art collection)
The internship student will be called on throughout the year to serve as a student ambassador for the Department by assisting in the creation of content for the Department’s social media accounts.
