\nCSD Assistant Professor\u00a0<\/strong>\n

Kay Chen, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She received a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences and Technology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2016. From 2016 to 2017, Kay worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Language Technologies Institute, Carnegie Mellon University, where she studied AAC language data sciences and implementation. Before arriving at UNH, She worked as an assistant professor at the State University of New York at Fredonia.<\/p>\n

She is a researcher and clinician in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Her research focuses on using artificial intelligence to help clinicians collect and analyze AAC data. Additionally, her clinical research focuses on developing AAC interventions and solutions for Chinese-English bilingual speakers.<\/p>\n

\nCSD Clinical Assistant Professor\u00a0<\/strong>\n

Meg Morgan, MS, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL is a bilingual clinical assistant professor and coordinator of the Multilingual\/Multicultural Speech-Language Pathology Program at the University of New Hampshire. She obtained her master’s degree and multicultural certificate at Arizona State University. Meg is a board-certified specialist in child language. She is currently an executive board member of the New Hampshire Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the chair of ASHA’s School Issues Advisory Board.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Emily is from Londonderry, NH and is currently a graduate student in the Communication Sciences and Disorders program at UNH. She received her bachelor’s degree from Purdue University where she majored in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences. Emily hopes to work in the hospital setting, helping people with swallowing and communication needs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kayleigh Cloutier is a graduate student in the Communication Sciences and Disorders program at the University of New Hampshire. She is from Gorham, ME, and graduated from the University of New Hampshire with her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She is interested in working with school-aged children\u00a0to help them reach their communication goals!<\/p>\n

Lydia has been a member of the lab since her freshman year, and has recently graduated from Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of New Hampshire. She is now a graduate student at James Madison Univeristy’s Audiology program and will continue to support the lab.<\/p>\n

Undergraduate Research Volunteer<\/strong><\/p>\nAbby is a senior Communication Sciences and Disorders major at the University of New Hampshire. She is from Cornish, Maine. After graduation, she plans to attend graduate school to earn her master’s degree and pursue a career in Speech-Language Pathology. One day, she hopes to work in a clinical setting with adults who have experienced traumatic brain injuries and help them with their swallowing and communication needs.\n

She hopes to work in an elementary special education setting, empowering children to communicate with confidence.<\/p>\n
