Welcome to the PIRCAR Lab! We are a research group housed in the Department of Social Work at the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS). At the intersection of culture, community, and science, our research lab is dedicated to advancing mental health equity for children, youth, and families-especially those affected by conflict, forced migration, and adversity. We employ interdisciplinary and culturally responsive approaches to investigate protective processes, implement innovative interventions, and promote trauma-informed, anti-oppressive policies and practices. We collaborate with schools, community organizations, and global partners to co-create solutions that foster resilience and flourishing in early childhood and adolescent development.<\/p>\n
