Program on Intensifying Resilience in Child and Adolescent Global Mental Health Research (PIRCAR)<\/strong><\/p>\n

At PIRCAR, we are committed to advancing mental health equity for children, youth, and families in minority families, forced migration, and adversity. Led by Dr. Ngozi Enelamah, our lab conducts interdisciplinary, community-engaged research that centers on cultural responsiveness, implementation science, and trauma-informed approaches.<\/p>\n

We investigate the complex interplay of risk and protective factors across the migratory journey-from countries of origin to resettlement in the United States. Our work spans early childhood development, adolescent mental health, and family well-being, with a focus on generating evidence that informs policy, strengthens practice, and builds institutional capacity.<\/p>\n

Through partnerships with schools, community-based organizations, and global collaborators, PIRCAR develops and implements innovative interventions-including task-shifting strategies-that empower communities and promote resilience.<\/p>\n
