The Preschool Development Implementation Grant continues New Hampshire’s efforts\u00a0to better understand the current early childhood system\u00a0and use those data to\u00a0strengthen the system, better address the needs of vulnerable young children and their families, and help build a solid foundation to improve outcomes for NH’s children, families, schools, and communities. The grant is a\u00a0collaboration between UNH, the NH Departments of\u00a0Education<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Health and Human Services<\/a>, and the\u00a0Governor’s Council for Thriving Children<\/a>, as well as\u00a0New Hampshire’s early childhood advocates and\u00a0practitioners.<\/p>\n

The grant seeks to support New Hampshire’s vision that all families are afforded comprehensive and responsive supports, so they are healthy, learning, and thriving, now and in the future. The three-year (2020-2022), $26.8 million grant, will help to\u00a0build New Hampshire’s early childhood care and education (ECCE) system\u00a0to be\u00a0effecti<\/em>ve<\/em>,\u00a0inclusive<\/em>,\u00a0responsive<\/em>,\u00a0efficient<\/em>, and\u00a0evidence-informed<\/em>.\u00a0The Preschool Development Grant is sponsored by the Department of Health and Human Services,\u00a0Administration for Children and Families (Award#\u00a090TP0060-01-00).<\/p>\nView NH’s Early Childhood Strategic Plan<\/a>
