I was trained in wildlife ecology at the University of Missouri (BS and MS) and Michigan State University (PhD and Postdoctoral work). In between degrees I taught high school science at the Beirtut Baptist School in Beirut, Lebanon. I began my current position at UNH in fall 2020.<\/p>\n

My research interests are broad, with a taxonomic focus on terrestrial vertebrates, especially carnivores and ungulates, an analytical focus on hierarchical Bayesian modeling, and conceptual foci on the spatio-temporal scaling of ecological phenomena and the\u00a0integration of humans into ecological research. I also deeply value local and applied work. Thus, a critical mission of our lab is to partner with state and regional agencies to carry out applied research projects that are informed and enriched by more conceptual and theoretical work.<\/p>\n

I currently teach a large, introductory wildlife ecology course as well as upper level quantitative ecology courses.<\/p>\n
