We are a research group focused on the application of advanced diagnostic and research methods to emerging health threats in the context of One Health. Our group works out of the NH Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory and the Hubbard Center for Genome Studies, both at UNH. Our projects and outputs range across production animals, wildlife, companion animals, and comparative medicine, with new and ongoing work often stemming from diagnostic cases or clinical observations of perceived health impacts.
As part of the flagship public research university in our state, which is a land, sea, and space grant institution, we are committed to research and service in our state and region, with national and international collaborators. Due to the broad array of samples we receive, our work hinges on having a network of fantastic collaborators with diverse skillsets and backgrounds.
We are always interested in hearing about potential disease incidents - if you are excited or concerned about a percieved disease incident we probably will be too!
At its core our work is directed at understanding emerging diseases and syndromes across diverse systems, in addition to the interactions of pathogens, microbiomes, hosts, and environments in driving disease and health in populations.
