Dr. Rachel Buck
NSF Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Rachel is a postdoctoral fellow researching linkages between human disturbance, ecosystem function, and microbial community response in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. Her current work investigates the effect of environmental perturbations associated with invasive wetland plants and their control on microbial gene expression and community functions. Rachel's primary affiliation is Brigham Young University (advisor: Ben Abbott; co-advisor: Jessica Ernakovich).
