{"id":20,"date":"2023-05-02T14:46:03","date_gmt":"2023-05-02T18:46:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.usnh.edu\/healthy-families\/?page_id=20"},"modified":"2024-01-12T11:10:42","modified_gmt":"2024-01-12T16:10:42","slug":"healthy-families-flourish-program","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.usnh.edu\/healthy-families\/healthy-families-flourish-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Healthy Families Flourish Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\t<p>The Healthy Families Flourish Program is a free 10-session program provided over telehealth\u00a0by a licensed occupational therapist for families of children with special health care needs.\u00a0 The program is designed to support a family&#8217;s ability to participate in the everyday\u00a0activities the family wants, needs, or is expected to do.\u00a0 Everyday\u00a0activities for a family are highly unique but some examples include: having a family meal together, navigating a smooth morning routine,\u00a0siblings playing together in the family home, or going on a family walk.<\/p>\n<p>We spend a lot of time helping our children be their best&#8211; to grow, and develop and if our child has a special health care need we understand the unique planning and thought that go into everyday\u00a0activities. It&#8217;s also important to think about our family as a unit and how we as families can be our best, grow, and develop. The Healthy Families Flourish Program provides for intentional time set apart to think about what your family&#8217;s goals might be.\u00a0 We think about what kinds of family activities you want, need, or are expected to do in your everyday lives and set two goals unique to your family to work on during the program.\u00a0 Each session becomes a strategy session in which\u00a0we develop ideas as partners to try out toward your family&#8217;s goal achievement.<\/p>\n<p>This program is part of an active research project at UNH.\u00a0 For more information about the Healthy Families Flourish
