Sustainable HVAC Technologies for CEA
The maintenance/energy cost of controlled environment agriculture is one of the toughest challenges to overcome, so EAE lab is focusing on developing novel technologies (heating, cooling, humidification, dehumidification, and ventilation) to provide precise indoor conditions with low carbon footprint and cost.

Substrate Development
EAE lab focuses on developing novel hydroponic substrates that will be reusable and recyclable when utilizing on leafy green and/or micro green type crop production.
Energy and Water Use Optimization for indoor farming
A part of our EAE lab research focuses on developing thermal and moisture balance models to estimate the heat and moisture load. This research also explores the influence of different parameters on indoor microclimate control and crop yield.
