Seeking Full-Time Bilingual Project Coordinator & Nutrition Educator

Summary of Position:

The project coordinator will assist in the implementation, data collection, and management of two ongoing research studies in the Bigornia and Dao Labs. One study will examine the relationship between body weight, fiber consumption, the gut microbiota, and health. The other project aims to develop culturally-tailored nutrition education for fish consumption. Both studies involve working with Hispanic adults residing in New Hampshire, primarily in the Cities of Nashua, Manchester, and Concord.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recruitment of project participants
  • Screen and schedule participant visits
  • Conduct focus group and key informant interviews
  • Lead nutrition education sessions
  • Oversee biological sample collection and transportation
  • Carryout project visits and administer project-related questionnaires
  • Maintain participant confidentiality and privacy
  • Data entry and cleaning

Acceptable minimum level of education: Associate’s

Acceptable minimum years of experience: 2 years

  • Other minimum qualifications:
  • Speaking and writing fluency in Spanish and English
  • Associate degree or higher or 2-3 years of work experience in community-based research

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous work coordinating community-based research
  • Experience working with Hispanic communities living in New England Within driving distance of Concord, Nashua, and Manchester, NH
  • Access to a motor vehicle
