UNH holds a deep commitment to the advancement of interdisciplinary research and academic excellence to to address issues facing UNH, our state, region, and beyond.&nbsp;CoRE supports this vision by providing five funding opportunities that collectively reinforce a broad culture of interdisciplinary exchange, collaboration, planning, and support. To-date, CoRE investments have stimulated over $35M in additional external funding for UNH research activities. To learn more about CoRE, see previously funded projects, access collaboration resources, and more:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mypages.unh.edu\/core\">https:\/\/mypages.unh.edu\/core<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interested UNH faculty must submit an application via&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/unh.infoready4.com\/\">https:\/\/unh.infoready4.com<\/a>&nbsp;no later than 5:00 P.M. on Monday, May 3, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Briefly:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/unh.infoready4.com\/#competitionDetail\/1838797\"><strong>Interdisciplinary Working Groups<\/strong><\/a>support groups of faculty to convene around research topic areas to build awareness and relationships across disciplines, allow for cross-fertilization of ideas, identify potential collaborative research opportunities, and provide a venue for finding partners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/unh.infoready4.com\/#competitionDetail\/1838800\"><strong>Pilot Research Partnerships<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;seed-fund collaborative research projects with strong potential to garner future funding from external sources (including industrial support) and\/or with outstanding commercial potential. Projects may be intra-institutional, multi-institutional, or public-private partnerships.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/unh.infoready4.com\/#competitionDetail\/1838802\"><strong>Creating New Centers<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;support the establishment of new, interdisciplinary Centers with research programs that have strong potential for significant future funding support from government agencies, corporations, industrial consortia or foundations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/unh.infoready4.com\/#competitionDetail\/1838801\"><strong>Strengthening Existing Centers<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;better position existing interdisciplinary Centers for success.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/unh.infoready4.com\/#competitionDetail\/1838848\"><strong>Supporting Large, Complex Proposal Development<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;provide dedicated funding and guidance to increase the competitiveness of UNH teams for major, interdisciplinary external grants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CoRE is funded through the Office of the Senior Vice Provost for Research, Economic Engagement, and Outreach.
