{"id":88,"date":"2023-07-19T13:15:05","date_gmt":"2023-07-19T17:15:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.usnh.edu\/commentary\/?page_id=88"},"modified":"2024-01-17T13:34:36","modified_gmt":"2024-01-17T18:34:36","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.usnh.edu\/commentary\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\t<p><em>Comm-entary<\/em>\u00a0is the UNH undergraduate journal of Communication.\u00a0 The journal features samples of the best scholarly work produced by\u00a0\u00a0UNH undergraduates on topics of media, rhetoric, and language and social interaction communication.\u00a0\u00a0<em>Comm-entary<\/em>\u00a0is edited and published by a student editorial board, under the guidance of a faculty advisor from the Department of Communication.\u00a0 The editors are involved in soliciting, reviewing and selecting manuscripts.\u00a0 They also work with the authors on the revisions of the manuscripts for publication of the finished journal.\u00a0 Work on each issue of the journal typically begins in October and ends with its publication in April or May.\u00a0 Participation on the editorial board is open to any UNH undergraduate. Any UNH student may submit work for consideration for publication in\u00a0<em>Comm-entary<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years,\u00a0<em>Comm-entary<\/em>\u00a0has served a number of valuable purposes on campus.\u00a0 The journal&#8217;s articles have enlightened campus community members with respect to the nature of the discipline of communication.\u00a0 The journal has helped to educate perspective students and their parents about the character of the major, and\u00a0<em>Comm-entary<\/em>&#8216;s articles have been used in some courses as models of high quality student work.\u00a0 Participation in\u00a0<em>Comm-entary<\/em>\u00a0is an invaluable extra-curricular experience.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"
