This information will help us to learn more about how adults learn language to hopefully improve future treatments for adults with acquired brain injury (ABI).
Who is eligible?
- Adults 18+
- People recovering from left hemisphere stroke or traumatic brain injury and have language difficulties (aphasia) OR healthy participants
- Right-Handed
- No language or learning difficulties prior to acquired brain injury
- No prior exposure to North Germanic languages (Norwegian, Swedish, Danish)

Step One: call to
- Find out more about the study
- See if you are eligible
- Schedule a study visit to the UNH Durham Campus
Two to three study visits (<2 hours each) in which you will:
- Have your hearing screened
- Complete tasks involving thinking, speaking, listening, and learning
- Be video recorded during the tasks so we can review your responses
