INNOVATE: Healthy and Acquired Brain Injury Participants Needed

This information will help us to learn more about how adults learn language to hopefully improve future treatments for adults with acquired brain injury (ABI).

Who is eligible?

  • Adults 18+
  • People recovering from left hemisphere stroke or traumatic brain injury and have language difficulties (aphasia) OR healthy participants
  • Right-Handed
  • No language or learning difficulties prior to acquired brain injury
  • No prior exposure to North Germanic languages (Norwegian, Swedish, Danish)

Step One: call to

  • Find out more about the study
  • See if you are eligible
  • Schedule a study visit to the UNH Durham Campus

Two to three study visits (<2 hours each) in which you will:

  • Have your hearing screened
  • Complete tasks involving thinking, speaking, listening, and learning
  • Be video recorded during the tasks so we can review your responses
