Undergraduate Research Intern and Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow 2022

Izzy is a senior undergraduate student in the BASAL Lab and is currently pursuing a B. S. in Wildlife and Conservation Biology with a minor in Geospatial Analysis. During her undergraduate career, she has participated in a variety of environmental conservation projects including invasive species monitoring and removal, native plant restoration, and wildlife management. Izzy began participating as a BASAL intern in Fall 2021. She was awarded a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) for the summer of 2022 to study the ability of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and light detecting and ranging (LiDAR) to detect and monitor Beech Bark Disease.
