Christine Bunyon
MS Student, Natural Resources & the Environment

Christine is a masters student in the BASAL lab. In 2017, she graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a B.S. in Environmental Conservation and Sustainability. As an undergrad, Christine worked as a laboratory research technician in microbiology and toxicology labs, as well as a soil microbial ecology lab, and participated in field and research projects ranging from fecal pathogen source tracking in the Oyster River, NH, to a long-term population survey of Hochstetter’s frogs (Leiopelma hochstetteri) in New Zealand. After completing her undergraduate studies, Christine was a Project Scientist at FB Environmental where she assisted project managers with fieldwork and project task completion, including water quality sampling, data sonde deployment and maintenance, data organization and analyses, GIS mapping, land-use modeling, and technical writing. Currently, Christine is conducting research on the use of an unmanned aerial system equipped with a multispectral sensor to assess and monitor the concentration and spatial dynamics of cyanobacteria blooms in New Hampshire lakes.
