In September 1961, Portsmouth, New Hampshire residents Betty and Barney Hill reported that they had been abducted by aliens. Their alien encounter initiated a lifetime of researching, talking, and writing about the experience, leading to a collection of original writings, magazine and newspaper reports, talks, photos, and artwork. These materials now reside at UNH's Milne Special Collections and Archives.
Members of English 401H: Honors First-Year Writing visited the collection, learning about archival procedures and practicing analysis to produce overviews of selected items in the collection.
