Palash joined in UNH and Agroecology lab in 2021 as Ph.D. student. He is interested in better understanding how abiotic stresses and agronomic practices influence the physio-biochemical properties, and quality of crops. His doctoral dissertation is focused on quantifying phytoestrogens and their environmental drivers in forage legumes such as red clover, alfalfa, white clover, bird's-foot trefoil, and kura clover.
Palash received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and his Master of Science in Agronomy at Sylhet Agricultural University in Bangladesh. He earned his second Master’s degree in Plant Sciences from Wageningen University and Research (WUR) in the Netherlands. His research involved to investigating how plants compete in belowground conditions when grown in intercropping systems and exposed to soil water shortages. His research also involved studying gene regulatory pathways involved in lateral root formation in Arabidopsis thaliana.
Palash enjoys doing fishing and gardening during his free time.
